There are two upcoming Atlanta startup events worth considering:
Failcon – Saturday April 26
FailCon is a one-day conference for technology entrepreneurs, investors, developers and designers to study their own and others’ failures and prepare for success.
I’m excited by the list of speakers and for my opportunity to participate on one of the panels. It’s always great to re-energize entrepreneurially at events like this.
Greater Alpharetta Tech Network – Thursday May 8
For those of you in the northern burbs, the Greater Alpharetta Tech Netword (GATN) is launching to provide thought leadership, educational, and networking events in that community, by serving the interests of tech companies in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell, Sandy Springs, and the cities of South Forsyth county.
GATN is developing a regular series of local, tech-related events featuring top-notch speakers and thought-provoking panels on topics that matter to the local tech community. David Cummings will speak at the May 8 launch event about “Creating a Community of Innovation.”
GATN hopes, through its events and speakers, to enhance the growing sense of community and identity of the substantial tech cluster here in North Fulton and South Forsyth, and to offer thought leadership to this tech cluster. GATN will measure its success by the level of participation of the local tech companies in GATN’s organization and events, and the feedback that it receives from those tech companies.
While I do not recommend attending a lot of events (read David’s post about avoiding Startup Theatre), these two caught my eye.
