Nightly Syncs at Tradeshows
This is our 3rd of 5 nights at the GPU Technology Conference. One thing we’ve done differently this year is a nightly all-hands sync with all of our 10 people at the show. We try to keep it to 10-20 minutes.
When each person on the team is having so many meaningful interactions each day, it is so easy to let a lot of opportunity slip through the cracks. Our nightly sync-ups have really helped to make sure we are following up with our leads and customers. It ensures we are getting the right information to the right people.
It is impossible to discuss each opportunity at these sync-ups, but it is easy to get a sense of who has hit the biggest jackpots each day in terms of meaningful customer opportunity generation. It spurs under-performers to step-up their game and is rewarding for those that made a big impact. More detailed follow-ups happen on a 1-on-1 basis each day as our sales team takes time to sync with each engineer individually.
Many companies just collect business cards and slam dry newsletters back out to the leads. How ineffective! Our approach is to be very careful with each conversation and try to follow-up with relevant and individualized information to really give our customers a boost forward in their projects.
