Top Startup Cities by Cost & Taxes Infographic

I came across the infographic below and found the data interesting. It has wage, tax, housing, and office rent information. There are clear financial advantages to being in Austin over being in San Francisco. It is also interesting to see how major startup hubs differ from one another.

The infographic was generated by a San Francisco startup that went to Boulder for TechStars, which might explain their omission of Atlanta from the infographic.

I think Atlanta would compete favorably in this infographic. At least that’s my experience. I also think Atlanta has more startup founders that know how to bootstrap than many other regions. Georgia does have 6% state income tax on capital gains, so that’s not as good as Texas.

How do you think Atlanta would compare to those cities?
