Working on Raw Personal Attributes

October 12, 2014

in Leadership, Personal Improvement

This is an appropriate Sunday post. When I think about personal improvement, something that really interests me is working on improving raw personal attributes.

These include things like: patience, humility, temperance, love, kindness, forgiveness, charity, diligence, hard work, honesty, confidence, discipline, courtesy, generosity, hope, obedience, justice, mercy, service, tolerance, and more.

Paul Graham recently mentioned that he looks for “authenticity” above everything else when evaluating startup founders. I have written about authenticity previously.

From a personal perspective, it is a helpful practice to choose one of these attributes each month and study and practice improvement in that area.

What are your thoughts on improving personal attributes?
