The Enormity of Early Adopters
Some of the most cherished relationships I enjoy through AccelerEyes are with our early adopters. These are people that put up with our products when they were barely minimally viable.
From the early adopters comes the early revenue – those first vital dollars that say, “Hey, someone will actually pay for this!” From the early adopters come the first case studies that scale your story across the chasm. From the early adopters comes vital product feedback to steer product development into business growth (warning: don’t let them overly influence direction though, as is discussed here).
I’m betting that every entrepreneur has a special spot in his/her heart for their early adopters. They are huge for the business.
Over the years, I’ve been able to meet most of our early adopters in person. I keep in touch with many of them, even those that have since moved on from GPUs.
How have early adopters shaped your business? Did you develop special relationships with them?
