Looking for Book Recommendations on Culture
Some companies are incredibly successful at creating rewarding environments for their employees and cultures of excellence. Along with the hiring and organizational changes we’ve experienced this year, I feel a deep desire to continually refine our culture to enrich the lives of our people. As our company brings happiness to the lives of our people, our people will in turn bring happiness to our customers.
I know a handful of 50+ person companies that have super low employee turnover. They do not pay spectacularly more than other firms. New hires do not enter those firms with any different expectations than other employees entering other firms. However, something happens to them once they join that makes them never want to leave. There is something special that sets those firms apart.
As we grow, I’m looking to learn how to take the special things that make AccelerEyes great and scale them to our bigger team.
I’m looking for recommendations today on books or other resources that you would recommend on the topic of building excellent corporate cultures. I have Traction by Gino Wickman and Delivering Happiness by Tony Hsieh in the queue, keeping with my new-found initiative to read more books.
What other book or content recommendations do you have?
