Extra Honesty Opens Doors and Hearts

I recently ran across this post entitled, “Reputation (e.g. character) is the only thing that matters.”

Most everyone protects their reputation from being soiled by the most egregious faults. That minimum effort is easy to adopt and understand.

I think there is great value in going further and building a proactive strong reputation for good character. One of the best attributes to build that around is honesty.

Extra honesty opens doors and hearts of those around you. Extra honesty are moments when you could stay silent or let things slip by but you bring them up in the interest of ensuring that others are comfortable and happy with how you are doing business. The openness is refreshing and attractive for future opportunities together.

It takes proactive effort to identify and take advantage of moments for extra honesty.

What are your thoughts on building a proactive reputation of honesty?
