For of all sad words of tongue or pen,
The saddest are these: “It might have been!”
-from “MAUD MULLER,” by John Greenleaf Whittier (1807-1892)
I love those famous lines (full poem here). In large part, startups are about chasing what might be. It’s exhilarating.
Spring is in full swing this year at AccelerEyes. Life is great. Here are things that contribute to the energy around the office:
- Growth – tremendous growth in revenue and head count is so exciting
- Potential – great growth comes from finding a repeatable business model, which might be the hardest thing to achieve in a startup; once it is found, the potential is great and the game turns to execution
- Environment – the Atlanta Tech Village is full of energy
- Graduation – on Monday, we celebrate our graduation from ATDC at the 2013 Startup Showcase (graduation requires >$1mm in annual revenue)
- Events – startup events around Atlanta keep getting better and bigger
It’s a great time to breathe deeply and enjoy life. If you have been on the fence regarding startups, now is as great a time as ever to find out “what might be.”
What reasons do you have to be excited this time of year?
